Celebrating 29 Years of Preservation!
Welcome!

The Riverhead Restoration Company is a non-profit group of volunteers operating out of Riverhead, NY on Long Island. Our goal is to collect railroad related equipment, and to restore them to a point where they could be leased out for use to fund future restorations. We have a collection of 10 historic train cars. These range from late 20th century passenger coaches, vintage cabooses, and freight cars. Our dedicated volunteer workforce has been churning out projects for almost 30 years. We have some of our train cars on exhibit in other museums such as the New York Transit Museum and Oyster Bay Railroad Museum. We have been a staple of the Riverhead community, and aim to create stronger ties with local businesses. We hope you'll read more about us and come down to the railyard to see us in person - we are always welcoming new volunteers, with training provided!
